As we welcome the New Year, we would like to take a moment to thank all our residents, families and friends for the kindness, support and community spirit you continue to share with us. January is a time for fresh beginnings, gentle reflection and looking ahead, and we are pleased to start the year with a renewed focus on comfort, meaningful activities and high-quality care for everyone who calls our home their own. In this edition, we’re delighted to share our upcoming events and plans for the weeks ahead.
Activities for January 2026:
Thursday 1st January -✨ Happy New Year! Ring in the celebrations with RJ, our all-round singer and entertainer, ready to make it unforgettable!
Friday 2nd January – It’s time for our weekly Bingo session with Chris and Sue. Who will be the lucky winner this week?
Saturday 3rd January – Rozelin presents Fun & Games – engaging, entertaining, and full of good fun!
Sunday 4th January – The perfect way to spend Sunday – a delicious roast and a selection of relaxing activities
Monday 5th January – Keeping Minds Sharp and Smiles Bright – Getting our thinking caps on by joining in quizzes and games together.
Tuesday 6th January – An Afternoon of Baking and Togetherness – Upcoming baking activities offer residents the chance to engage, create, and enjoy homemade delights. What is your favourite bake?
Wednesday 7th January – Steve will be joining us who will be offering haircuts and styling — helping everyone feel refreshed and pampered.
Thursday 8th January – Afternoon Slow Yoga with Sheila – Gentle stretches, mindful breathing, and relaxation for body and mind.
Friday 9th January – Daub, shout, and win – BINGO time is here!
Saturday 10th January – Roz’s Exciting Activity Sessions – More laughter, creativity, and friendly fun to brighten everyone’s day.
11th January – Enjoying a delicious Sunday Roast and a relaxing afternoon filled with laughter, good food, and gentle moments to unwind.
Monday 12th January – Weather permitting, residents will enjoy a scenic car trip, perfect for a bit of fresh air and a change of pace.
Tuesday 13th January – Indulging in some self-care with manicures and calming hand massages for a truly relaxing experience.
Wednesday 14th January – Caroline will be joining us to perform live, with an afternoon of games and prizes to keep the fun going.
Thursday 15th January – A calming Slow Yoga session leads into a delightful bagel break with everyone’s favourite fillings.
Friday 16th January – Chris hosts Prize Bingo – enjoy laughter, games, and the chance to win great prizes!
Saturday 17th January – Join Roz for an engaging afternoon of games and activities, where fun, friendly competition, and connection come together.
Sunday 18th January – Relax and unwind with a Slow Down Sunday, followed by a delicious roast dinner to end the week on a cosy note.
Monday 19th January – Another exciting trip out, enjoying the outdoors and a change of pace, depending on the weather.
Tuesday 20th January – An early Burns Night celebration awaits, with classic poems and songs to bring the spirit of Scotland alive!
Wednesday 21st January – From morning haircuts with Steve to an afternoon of music with Liam, there’s something to enjoy all day!
Thursday 22nd January – Relaxing and recharging with Sheila’s Slow Yoga session, combining gentle movement and mindful breathing for a restorative afternoon.
Friday 23rd January – Bingo Bonanza! Join Chris for a Lively Prize Bingo Session, where plenty of goodies are up for grabs.
Saturday 24th January – Arts and Crafts with Roz – a friendly, creative afternoon where residents can create, chat, and enjoy themselves.
Sunday 25th January – Winding down on Sunday with some gentle relaxation, followed by a tasty roast dinner to close the week perfectly.
Monday 26th January – A car trip out is planned, giving residents the opportunity to explore the local sights if the weather allows.
Tuesday 27th January – National Chocolate Cake Day calls for baking fun! Whipping up delicious cakes and cookies to share and enjoy.
Wednesday 28th January – National Croissant Day is here – a fun tasting session where residents savour croissants and decide on their favourites, all with a comforting milky coffee.
Thursday 29th January – Sheila is joining us to lead a gentle Slow Yoga session, with an afternoon of puzzles and games to follow.
Friday 30th January – Enjoying an afternoon of Prize Bingo with Chris, full of fun, games, and plenty of smiles.
Saturday 31st January – An afternoon of games and light-hearted fun, combining entertainment with social connection.
