 Nightingales Weekly Newsletter #66 – Monday, 12th July 2021

Nettlestead

  • Diane has planned to come and see us again this week with the lovely Tia, we hope to take some photos to share with you all.
  • Ciara has visited us to focus on Mindful Yoga sessions; Yoga unites the body, mind, breath and spirit through asana practice.
  • Jane has planned an Afternoon Tea with us all this upcoming Wednesday, we are looking forward to tucking into some scones and tea of course!
  • Apologies that unfortunately we were unable to make it to Ruxley Manor last week, we are aiming to get this into the diary for next week.
  • We welcomed the lovely Edith last Saturday who has decided to extend her stay with us here at Nettlestead and become a part of the Family.  We are very pleased and hope you continue to enjoy your time with us here.

Priors Mead

  • We said a sad goodbye to Kirsty, our Head of Home last week, we wish her all the best in her future plans.
  • We would like to congratulate Kelly and Tenniece in their new roles at Priors Mead. Kelly is our  Head of Home and Tenniece is our Assistant Manager.  Congratulations to you both!
  • What lovely Sunshine we had midweek, we made the most of it and got outside getting our Grass Heads completed , the race is now on for the winner with the craziest hair!
  • A lovely visit from Kingswood Shetlands for Animal Therapy took place last week; our surprise guest was a large Chicken! The clue for next month’s surprise guest is something scaly! Talk of the Residents was a very spiky but adorable Pygmy Hedgehog called Betty we all fell in love with her little face and nose!Anthony Castleman was a great hit on Thursday evening as always, we all had a good Sing Along with Wine and Nibbles and are planning him returning again this month to host a Summer Concert in the Garden with a BBQ if the weather permits.
  • We look forward to Margaret joining us this week to play her beautiful Harp – such a wonderful instrument!
  • Judy from Slow Yoga was in this morning to get us stretching and focusing on breathing – aaahh, a  lovely start to the week!
  • Lots of Music and Moving Fun to be had with our popular Linley from Kiddlydivey tomorrow.

HomeCare 

  • Well, I could not leave you without mentioning the Euro Finals!  Congratulations to Italy and to Leanne in winning the Sweepstake – woohoo cakes are on you!!
